will steering tie rods from C121 work on my C85?

Just a quick question for the gurus.  A local guy is parting out his C121. I'm looking for tie rods for my C85. Are they interchangeable?  The next step is unbolting mine and comparing them in person. Thanks in advance!

They should be. Most of the newer ones are adjustable, so they are basically universal.

They will work. I wouldn't  give much for them they are mostly worn out. Wish you were closer, I have two original set I would give you.  They are 30 years old can't say how good they are. I have changed all mine to heims joints. Got tired of beating them back together. I have had heims joint on my C-120 since 1989 and they are still as good as they were new.

Yes, the Heims are nice and look bullet proof.  Buy the best, cry once.  Thanks for the quick replies!

agree with lee above on the heim joints , they are bombproof and i have used them on a number of trouble movement areas.  you can make up your own or buy completed units, i always have spare heim joints in my tool kit. 3/8x 24 fine steel thread rod , with two 3/8 male/female heim joints are quick and easy , pete
