I'm looking at a C175 hydro besides warming up the hydro and testing it is there anything else I should be checking?

Looks like a series I engine, I have the exact machine, it's a great combination as long as the maintenance had been done during it's lifetime 

 

Mine is a beast moving snow

Ya I thought it would be a series 1 but from what I've read they're good as long as you keep clean oil in them and don't drive on a lot of side hills.  In other words drive up and down the hill not back and forth along it

It's been on there since Monday I think,  make an offer, you never know. If that 48" deck is any good you might get a great deal

I wouldn't be afraid of that series 1 engine.Just keep it a little over full on the oil.Some guys on here swear by them.I have two C-175's.Great tractors.Love the automatic trans.Really love the hydraulic lift.Good luck.
