Looks like a newer seat too, and I think I spy a ratchet strap holding the belt guard on. Doesn't look too bad, considering it's almost 60 years old. Hood looks to be straight and not cut up (at least the side we can see), which is a plus. Definitely worth saving (at least in my opinion). Lots of, what looks like, factory paint and good solid steel. People have saved, and restored, much worse looking machines. I'd be tempted to leave the patina on it if it's all factory paint still.
