Is your clearance issue on the inside or to the top?

If it's the inside you could pick up a set of wheel spacers.

I've never had a clearance issues with chains on a 520H and stock size tires.

the tires one my tractor are 23 X 10.50-12. the issue is on the inside the chains almost clear, The tires need replaced this is why I looking into the tire size I think according to the manual the tires that are on are the correct size. I neve give the wheel spacer a thought might have to look into them

Maybe axle hubs are set to far in? Maybe move them out a half inch?

I have used regular chains, V-bar chains and rubber chains on 2 ply and 4 ply squared shouldered tires of that size on three different 520H's.  I'm just down the road if you want to see them.

Old 2 ply tires belle out and up like a beach ball i took a set off my 520 right after I go it. As for moving hubs they should be flush with the ends of the axles.  The design with the woodrulff keys the set screw should be centered on the key. If moved the set screw will cock the key allowing the hub to move. So line up the hubs with the ends of the axle and don't move them.

The most recent ones I bought were 2" thick.

I wasn't careful enough when I read the listing and I had to buy lug nuts as well.

Total cost I think was about $60, $65.

If you can get away with a thinner spacer and you are more careful than I was you could probably do it for more like $30, $35.

I'd be glad to take some pictures and show you what I mean. Might take me a couple days to get to it.
