Anyone know what size deck was on a 953/1054?

P.S. belt cover is missing.

Confirm...that is a 48" deck with the 'Double-D' spindles, blades, and cast iron spindle pulleys.

Those are the same for decks up mid or late 1972.

The 42" and 48" Double-D spindles are the same, but...of course....the pulleys and blades are different sizes.

Here is mine I bought from the original owners son(bob franks) in 2017. It was bought new in 63 or 64 by his dad in kendallville indiana at Dean Colters inc. The old dealership the hut building is still there! Deans son is alive i have tried to get info from him but it seems to be a sore spot for him. Something about who ever bought his dad out jerked them over. But I do have an old school buddy who grew up right by the building across the street and his mother lived there when it was the wheelhorse dealer. She is trying to dig photos up for me!! I will post them when i get them. Mine is an early one. I was told it has never been rebuilt motor or transmission. the transmission had a axle seal go bad and took it back to get replaced. That is it and a coil replaced by bobs brother but the old coil i kept it isn't bad. i think the condenser was. Here i am plowin my first snow with it!
