Well, it's not a 314-A, definitely not a 416-8, so somehere in between?

Is this just around here?

And definitely not an automatic!

Seems steep for a Frankenstein roller to me - I haven't paid much more than that for any of my complete tractors!

Looking at the smaller tires I would lean towards a 308 or 310 frame and trans. I see things like that too. A good price for that thing would be $75 not $175. But that is me.

Weelllll ladies and gentlemen that would be your standard issue Jumble-o-parts.

Seems to be platinum coated like most are here in Maine.

That would be a steal around here.  Engineless mix masters are usually listed in the $300 range.  It looks like they don't sell very often, but people think they are gold.

Yup, thats about the norm.  If it is somewhat complete it is automatically $700 or more!.  It's not often you get a deal and if there is a deal, a scalper gets it.

There is a nice 417-A on CL right now for $1000.  Only 368 on the clock.

The fuse blew and the hour meter hasn't worked in three decades!

In looking what is for sale out there now on Craiglist/FB in the NE, it is slim pickings. When did WH (or other decent GT's) get so expensive? Most of the tractors for sale now are in rough shape, yet folks are looking for beyond top dollar. What is going on? COVID? A run on decent machines?

For the most part it's been that way for at least 3 or 4 years here in Maine.

Occasionally a decent deal. But they're rare.

Attach the word vintage or antique and whammo... Added platinum coating.

$500.00

Description

I have a 36 inch Wheel Horse Snowthrower for sale. It will fit any Wheel Horse tractor between 1980 and the last year they made them, I believe was 2010. I put it on this winter and it worked OK, then it threw the auger drive chain. I replaced the chain and it came off again, I think the attachment link came apart. I replaced the chain again but have not tried it, got to frustrated and bought another snow blower. I have had this thrower since mid 1980's and it has always worked well.

New tires, chrome, battery and upholstery. The hood decals are NOS from the factory in South Bend, Indiana. The grill is the only non-original item on this tractor. Comes with snow blade.
