520H P220G Hole in the Valve Chamber

Hello, 

I was checking out the valves in my 520h and noticed a big gaping hole in the Valve Chamber. Is the repairable or is the engine toast?

What's the other side look like?  Looks like a place for oil to drain back.

I am not sure, the other side is behind whatever sits behind the flywheel in the attached picture. I don't have a tool to remove the flywheel.

This is correct to be there for oil return. Nothing to repair or worry about.

Watch when you reassemble the valves - plug that hole or a cotter will find its way to the cam cover and that flywheel will have to come off. You need not ask how I know this...
