Anthony Wendover 124 #1 Posted June 7, 2020 (edited) So this morning I took a drive to the dump and upon arrival I see a Wheel Horse 416-H sitting in the scrap pile. Walked over and it fired right up! The guy at the dump said the previous owner had enough of it and couldn’t make it drive he was done trouble shooting it. Apparently that went on for two years? Anyway I pushed it right onto my truck and got it home. Transaxle was full of the proper fluid so took belt guard off. There I find the issue a very stretched belt and the wrong spring on the tensioner. He had a small spring as seen on driver side brake band. So pulled that all off put a new belt on it with the proper spring and man oh man this thing cuts and works great. Now here are pictures of her and the beautiful job it did on the grass today. Tractorhead 9,212 #6 Posted June 7, 2020 I can‘t understand how such peoples think. They had a rock solid machine what needs just a bit Care to work for eternity, then they try to fix with toy springs and wrong belts to get them to run. Don‘t ask for help if they can‘t fix it theirself, instead they just throw it away and buy any new. Ok, the Economy still lives on buy new but throw away such a great Rig is a shame. What a luck, you see that nice Rig and saved it. Nice machine and also nice Cut. congrats
WHNJ701 4,165 #7 Posted June 7, 2020 a friend of ours told us last year they cleaning their parents property and took a working snowblower, push mower and some other tools to the town dump/recycling center. they just wanted it gone and didn't want the hassle of selling it. someone had a good day at the dump when found that! our towns pretty cool, I got some good finds there, they like me I got a bunch of 6-12 tires that were good, and they didn't have to pay to get rid of 1
