jellyghost 378 #1 Posted June 6, 2020 Hello! I have been using my C-101 for about five years, and it usually runs well without any choke. I only use the choke when I first start the engine. The past few times, it seems to need a little choke or it will die sometime during the mow. It is not repeatedly dieing. I have a marine squeeze ball on my fuel line. After a few pumps, the engines starts back up, but it does not run for long. The air filter is newish and looks good. ? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Won't hurt but it likely won't help much. The rubber degrades over time and gets little bits into the carb. If you replace the fuel line and rebuild/clean the carb it'll most likely knock the problem out. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

ZXT 2,401 #7 Posted June 6, 2020 Since squeezing the bulb pump makes it run, I'm going to go out on a limb and say your fuel pump has bit the dust. Squeezing a bulb pump wouldn't unclog a stopped up jet, but it might help squeeze fuel through a collapsed fuel line. Since cleaning the carb is easy enough to do, I would likely do that as well, but I would first check the tank for debris, replace the fuel line if it is old, replace fuel filter, clean the carb, and then if the problem persists, replace the fuel pump. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
