johnhon 7 #1 Posted June 5, 2020 I'm picking up a free tractor next week and need help in deciphering my SN. I'm also looking for the manual for it. Can someone give me some advice? Thank you! 1
Pullstart 67,060 #2 Posted June 5, 2020 I’m not great at deciphering models, but it looks like a C-121 Hydro to me! Great horse, better price!

ebinmaine 73,002 #4 Posted June 5, 2020 @johnhon You're not too far from where I was born (hatched?) And raised. Your Tractor is a C121 from 78 to 80 or so. Someone else will be able to narrow down the year. Excellent rigs given a bit of maintenance.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,523 #5 Posted June 5, 2020 Welcome to the forum. Your model number looks to be 81-12K801. Added your serial to the list. If I read the numbers correctly you will notice the two following your 11672 serial are not correct. Click on the fuzzy picture Here is what comes up doing a search using your model number. They are mixed up so look through them all. https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/search/?q=81-12k801&quick=1&type=downloads_file Garry
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,523 #6 Posted June 5, 2020 A second look appears the 8103 has been stamped over 807x which may explain the discrepancy in the serial numbers. Garry

horseyheaven 113 #9 Posted June 6, 2020 According to “Straight From Horses Mouth” pg 222, the Id number on your tag 81 -12KS01 crosses to a 1978 C121 Automatic.

Good catch. If I had looked at the tractor picture I would have realized it was a hydro. Now for another oddity. Another tractor close to this time frame had a second ID plate on the panel below the dash housing with a next year model number.
