Confused99 2 #1 Posted May 6, 2009 Picked up this D200 lastnight. Was posted on craigslist less then 20 min when I called. The seller had a bunch of calls in the time it took for me to get there and while we were chatting. I'm looking forward to starting work on it. No 3 point or PTO.....yet Only thing missing that I can see is the air filter cover. Craigslist Pics Picture this morning still on my trailer
CasualObserver 3,411 #2 Posted May 6, 2009 Nice grab there Jason. I didn't see the listing, and it must be removed already. Where did you have to go to get it?
Confused99 2 #3 Posted May 6, 2009 Nice grab there Jason. I didn't see the listing, and it must be removed already. Where did you have to go to get it? It was up in Ham Lake so alittle over an hour for me. The ad is not on there any more. I didn't get in too much trouble with the better half either but she did some clothes shopping lastnight so I guess that means we are even
Stigian 1,234 #4 Posted May 6, 2009 Nice find there Jason, and quick work as well only 20mins from the ad going up If only fleabay worked that way at times :omg:
Confused99 2 #6 Posted May 6, 2009 Thanks guys. I did have to move quick at the price he had up for it. He did have a guy from South Dakota that really wanted it but called after I did. I wondered if he was a member here.
Operator 7 #7 Posted May 7, 2009 Jason , I have to tell you thank you for buying that! I seen it on there and brought the number to work this morning , I was going to call. I didn't really want it but hey it's a Wheel Horse! We don't see to many of them around here do we? Besides if I would have bought it , I 'd have to hide it from the other half. She's still after me to get rid of some of mine. Good luck with that and treat him good! Randy

Randy No problem, glad to help any time You are right, we don't see a whole lot of them around and when they do show up, they are usually gone pretty quickly. Especially if they are priced right. If the other half ever gets on you too hard let me know, I would be happy to take your C160 off your hands I will treat him good, it may be a little while before I get around to really going through it but I plan to atleast get it running and moving in the next week or 2. Operator 7 #11 Posted May 8, 2009 Jason, any chance you might be interested in a Charger 12 Hydro new paint? The C-160 is going to stay around for awhile, he's the work tractor. Randy

Randy Sorry, I'm not in the market for a Charger right now. I figured you were in no hurry to let your C160 go but it was worth a shot .

Confused99 2 #14 Posted May 9, 2009 So I had a little free time this evening and pulled the carb. Found some rusty sludge but it cleaned up really well. Put it back on and hooked up my remote fuel tank and she fired right up. Ran very smooth with zero smoke. I was surprised needless to say. I hopped on and moved the hydro lever back an forth and she moved too. I will pick up some oil and filters tomorrow and then take her for a spin. Few questions though - Need an aftermarket engine oil filter number Need an aftermarket trans oil filter number 10W30 in the trans, correct? Could someone post or send me a picture of the PTO engagement shaft. Mine needs some repair. Thanks, Jason
Gene_S 93 #15 Posted May 9, 2009 Hi Jason, Again nice find. I watched my D200 for about 5 years while it set out side the whole time untill the owner got sick of me asking to buy it... I use the 10W30 because there is a decal on my "74" that calls it out. I've also seen that if you go to O'Reilly Auto Parts web site you can look up oil filters for Wheel Horse tractors... Are they compatable? I'm sure some one here knows the answer... Wonder who it will be... Good luck!!! Gene
Operator 7 #16 Posted May 9, 2009 I get all my filters from O'Reilly's Wix brand pluss the air filters and tranny filters cheaper there than my Horse dealer. As far as "remote" you'd have to check with them. I was trying to get a K&N air for the 520"s but no luck. The filter numbers I have may not be the same for "Our" D-200 , Notice I said "Ours?" Jason. Maybe you might want to check out this dedicated to the "D" site--- DGROUPWHEELHORSE@yahoo.com Randy
73-18 automatic 8 #17 Posted May 9, 2009 :omg: Go to this site https://www.shoptoro.com/Comergent/en/US/ad...ringPageDisplay look up your model number that will give you a part number for the filter then you can Google the number and find it online or elsewhere just DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT use an ENIGINE OIL FILTER they are not the same internally hope this helps Doug
Confused99 2 #18 Posted May 10, 2009 Got all of the fluids/filters changed, cleaned the gas tank, and replaced all the fuel lines. She runs and drives very well. Gave the kids a few rides around the block too. I need to work on the PTO yet and fix a few things on the deck.
Confused99 2 #19 Posted May 11, 2009 Put the new horse to work today. My daughter and I worked on picking up leaves this morning and cleaning up the yard for spring. Also, I think the new horse is starting to warm up to the old one

My wife probably wishes you would have taken it. It runs pretty good but needs a few more things. I just got an air cleaner cover for it so I don't have to keep switching. You don't happen to have the PTO and/or 3 point from it that you would be interested in selling? I am on the look out for one. Don't tell my wife but I think this one is going to stay for a while Jason
