WHNJ701 4,165 #1 Posted May 25, 2020 yesterday I had one the old tractors out. it's got a briggs 143302 old style updraft. I got it running yesterday and drove it around, later it started again. ran fine yesterday. so today it won't start, has good spark, even spraying choke cleaner, tried a little gas in the plug hole. nothing not even a pop, tried another plug, pulled the head off valves are fine. My vote is going to be the condenser. I've seen engines with spark at the plug when checking but that won't fire under compression. That or the flywheel key is sheared.
