Hey everyone,

This just came up spares or repairs, non runner.

What model do you think it is, owner didn't know.

Worth a punt?

Cheers.

Very!

Trying to convince my wife I need it, they want £200 for it. It's a gamble as no idea what the engine is like (seized?) And it's about a ten hour round trip for me.

A good machine? Can't tell if it's manual or auto - my knowledge is limited!

I think its manual because of the lift arm. They may have made a 312 with the eaton 700 auto, it would have a lift arm too. That would be callede a 312 hydro I think. I know I  , and mt brother each have a 314 hydro , both with bad 700 eatons and lift arm.

So will it have a sub standard gearbox or is the manual ok?

looks like it does say hydro on it. If would have a 700 eaton over here, but maybe not where you are.

Need to know what its labeled. I think they made different combos for outside the U.S.A.

Just had a look and I'm sure it says 416-H on the side. Also don't see the H pattern gear slots. But I'm not familiar with this model do not sure.

The manual gear is bullet proof. The eaton 1100 is wonderful. The Eaton 700 is not recommended for ground engaging chores.

Ah ok, so not the best model. All my others are manual so they would be fine for running ground engaging gear. This would just be used for filling a space in my shed and throwing money at!

I think you better get better info than I gave you. A 416 h is an Eaton 1100. I just looked it up.

Only ten hours, it's just five each way so not that bad. Would be about £100 of fuel for the van. Will offer to clear it out of her driveway for free or nearly free seems as it's a bit of a gamble. If I drive all that way and it's even worse than it looks I don't want much money tied up.
