Olratlr 25 #1 Posted May 4, 2009 Well I picked up a D180 Friday runs like a scalded Dog I got a Snow plow, Plow and Harrow with it but It has a lot of play in the steering haven't got the manual in yet any help on steering is appreciated. :omg: Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Eriks Red horse herd 43 #5 Posted May 5, 2009 Thats true what Rick V said, There is also on the side of the gear box a sloted screw with a nut around it. unloosen the nut and try to adjust the slotted screw to the right. That is the adustment for the worm gear and the pin gets worn with flats after awhile. I took mine out and had a friend regrind the bullet shaped stud (mine was worn pretty bad). That helped alot. Also makesure your tierods and drag link aren't loose or sloppy and check your bell crank the ( the tierods & draglink is attached to under the tractor) make sure the stud isn't loose or worn in the threaded hole.
