76c12091520h 3,926 #1 Posted May 3, 2020 A few weeks ago I brought home a load of parts and have organized and cataloged 99 % of them; now I'm down to the unknown . I'm not even sure if this is a W. Horse pulley or not. It matches nothing we have in stock or on any of our equipment. It measures 4 7/8" in dia. , has a 3/4" dia center keyed hole, and would take a 1/2 belt. It is not cast with any #'s on it. There were remnants of red paint on it , and there was nothing in the parts haul that wasn't WHorse. Let me know what we might have here. Thanks
WHNJ701 4,165 #2 Posted May 3, 2020 it looks like a generic pulley made by browning 4
ebinmaine 73,002 #3 Posted May 3, 2020 1/2" drive belt would normally be pre 67 or so but I don't know what engine would have a 3/4" shaft. Older smaller... Maybe 3 - 5 horse engines? 2 minutes ago, jabelman said: it looks like a generic pulley made by browning Agreed. Maybe a replacement for a worn out one many moons ago. daveoman1966 3,841 #4 Posted May 3, 2020 Instead of an ENGINE pulley, I'm thinkn' it may be a TRANNY input shaft pulley... Maybe???

Retired Wrencher 5,839 #7 Posted May 3, 2020 It reminded me of an old Auto trans pully?
953 nut 60,359 #8 Posted May 3, 2020 Browning is an industrial manufacturer and this probably isn't for a wheel horse. It could be used on the input shaft of a manual transmission with a 3/4" shaft.
prondzy 3,889 #9 Posted May 3, 2020 Looks similar to a trans input shaft on a 953/1054, or the jackshaft on a rmr36 in mower deck.
stevasaurus 23,307 #10 Posted May 3, 2020 The 3 piece and the 3 speed transmissions used a 3/4" input shaft. That pulley would work but is different from what the original looks like.
kasey54 305 #11 Posted May 3, 2020 Maybe for a snow blower shaft
