312-H Help needed in SE Michigan

Recommended Posts

HeyMrP

Ok. I know my limits and patience levels!

More patience levels than ability, but I LOATHE troubleshooting electrical.

I have a 312-H project with an electrical issue.

I can jump the solenoid and it will start and run just fine.

Im sure that somewhere there is a bad ground or switch or wobbly doo-dad, but this is not the kind of

work I like doing. I hate doing it probably more than I hate golfing (which I

am very bad at).

Anybody in the SE Michigan want to talk about a little paid work to fix this for me?

Or possibly trade services? Or trade stuff for help? Im good at other stuff lol.

Do you know the model number of your 312-H?

Iff not how about the spec number off the engine's ID decal and serial number?

We may have some drawings to walk you through it. Each circuit has it's own diagram.

See 3 tractor models

1990 31-12KE01

1991 51-12KE01

1992 51-12KE02

This one for 1990-91

This one for 1992

It’s a “Toro Wheel Horse Classic 312-Hydro.” Can’t find a plate with specific model number for the tractor.

The plate on the Kohler Magnum 12 says “Model no. M12S”

You’re tempting me to rewire this thing?!

Get thee behind me you devil! Lol

I guess I’ll look at the schematics... if I must. :angry-cussingwhite:

Will guess the tractor decal is under the left side of the seat on the rear fender pan.

The start circuit is the one to follow. They show how the power gets from the ignition switch to the starter. You just follow the trail and make sure all the ducks are lined up.

Working on adding color to them so they are easier to follow because not everyone will know what switch is where or what it is.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Boy do I feel dumb. been looking all over this thing for an ID plate. My multimeter had been sitting on it just right to cover it. 3112KE01
