would love to know what that hitch was built to pull.  Looks like a plintel hitch in reverse.  It won’t take much to remove all that have what you need to operate ground engaging rear implements.

Probably could tell a story or two. I am missing the bars/cables needed to operate the front and rear implements.

Is there any spec charts that include what spark plug? Plug gap? Oil type? Air filter? Etc...

Also, I was going to replace the fuel line but I am wondering if this is a factory formed line? I can't tell if it is or if it is just old and kind of froze in the position it has been in for the last 50 years. Has anyone replaced with regular fuel line that you can purchased at the hardware store?

I went and got some essential supplies for trying to get her started. I also started trying to put back together the original starter. Hopefully I can get the jack in the box back together lol

Here is what we have for the 704. 26 results on 2 pages and they are in no particular order so look through them all.

What parts do you have already?

General maintenance and tune stuff of course.

Transmission shifter boot and oil.

I have a Kohler carb kit, new spark plug, new fuel line, and new recoil rope. I will hopefully habe everything cleaned up and installed today. Does this engine have points?

Guys I am having some trouble getting this recoil/starter to work properly. I put it back together last night and pretty sure I have it all correct but it doesn't seem to engage very good at all and when it does it seems like the little dogs are slipping on the inside teeth of the cog on the engine. Any help or thoughts?

I don't seem to be getting spark....check out this video, do these points seem correct? I also found this bad spot in the wire that goes to the ignition toggle switch. Any thoughts?

There is a possibility that the condenser is bad. Also if the ignition switch isn't working it could cause it to not have spark.
