1975 B-80 gas tank leak

Recommended Posts

Sorry, I don't have a photo but I have a leak in the fuel tank where the shut-off valve goes into the tank,It looks like a metal valve in a rubber grommet on the bottom of the plastic tank.Any idea before I tear it apart? It doesn't look like the vavle is leaking but the rubber between it and the tank is....not really sure how it's made!Any help is appreciated!

Have a repair shop nearby?

Many makes use the same rubber bushing so should be in stock.

If you have to change the valve might as well do all the lines and filter. I always run 2 filters cheap insurance. Take the tank out and clean in side if needed. It very easy to in stall. 1st install bushing then shut off. Aline shut off to hose. Enjoy.
