squonk 44,036 #1 Posted April 22, 2020 I have 2 stators. If I remember correctly, they both came off of K341's 1 has more windings and is thicker and heavier. The both have the same 1 wire ends. does anyone know the difference in output of these? I looked in the Kohler manual. They only show a genaric picture. pfrederi 18,771 #2 Posted April 22, 2020 From 301 manual but I am sure 241 are the same. #4 looks like you r is 15 amp #10 looks like the odd one. Note it comes with a diode so i assume it is for the infamous 3 amp unregulated system with AC lighting coils...
Tractorhead 9,212 #3 Posted April 22, 2020 Paul is right, the Blue stator has bigger wire Diameter and more Coils, that results in a bit higher AC Voltage and more possible Current. use a 2 Way rectifiers and a Voltage regulator for charging a Battery This has also some spare current for restricted Light. Able to support 15 A Voltage can be up to 13,6 Volts depending on RPM. The red stator has thinner wire Diameter and less coils, that results to lower AC Voltage and will be normally simply rectified with only a single diode, this is a so called low cost rectifier. This systems is basicly used for less current systems. Because of the less coils, the Voltage can also not reach a Voltage, that sensefully can be used to Charge a battery.
squonk 44,036 #4 Posted April 22, 2020 I know one of these came off a 16 HP. I'm thinking the other one came off a parts engine that I was told was a 16 but I think it was a
