porschpow 7 #1 Posted April 22, 2020 I am looking in buying the Hydro assembly and the gauges for the 520H. They are asking 250 for everything. This a fair price? For the Hydro assembly, is it worth buying used or can you rebuild everything? I am assuming you can't buy it new.
Sparky-(Admin) 22,172 #2 Posted April 22, 2020 Pretty sure you can’t buy a new Eaton 1100 anymore. Can you test the used one? Or is it already removed from the tractor? Are you buying from a reputable seller such as...https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/forum/169-a-z-tractor/ ....or just some guy who ripped it out in his garage? I don’t know the going rate on a used Eaton but would rather deal with someone who would stand behind the used part they sold.
Turftech 82 #3 Posted April 23, 2020 Yes Eaton is still building a limited supply of new units. Can you buy one built to Wheel horse specs? Probably not. The golf course purchased one last August to replace a damaged one. Fasten your seat belts - $2,000.00! CW rotation on that one, W/H is CCW rotation. If one was desperate or cost not an object and had an old one with the right good pieces it could be done.
porschpow 7 #4 Posted April 23, 2020 Cheese WOW! Would a 1991 Wheel Horse Hydro assembly and gauge cluster be compatible with a 1996-1997 model (520H)??
porschpow 7 #5 Posted April 24, 2020 I am thinking it is, but 91 to 97 seems like along shot
Sparky-(Admin) 22,172 #6 Posted April 24, 2020 I bet the hydro unit would be a straight swap. No idea on the gages.
