ammeter went bad burnt wiring. I replaced entire harness with a new genuine wheelhouse harness. lucky to find one. tractor won't turn over it does if I jump solenoid but won't start. it acts like when the mower blades are engaged and it keeps it from starting. is there a way to jump that switch? witch terminals do I jump? when turning over by jumping solenoid there is no power at the coil should there be? help thanks. I've also tried a new solenoid and ignition switch

First make sure that you are getting battery "+" power to the "B" terminal on the switch. Turn the switch on, you should have power at the "I" and "A" terminals on the switch. The "I" terminal will feed power to the + side of the coil as soon as you turn the switch on. Turn the switch to the start position, you should now have power at the "S" terminal on the switch. The "S" terminal will feed power to one of the small wires on the starter solenoid.

Power from the "I" and "S" terminals can be interrupted from their destination by safety switches.

Is there away to jump over these safety switches? The pto switch has a 4 or 5 pin plug how do you bypass that?

Look through the manuals for a manual with a wire diagram for your tractor, this will help you out a lot.

Is the 4 or 5 pin plug connected to a relay? If so you need to figure out which wires close the coil on the relay & which wires are the switched wires. You will need to tie the switched wires together to complete the circuit/by pass the switch. .
