K341 Ignition Coil

Recommended Posts

Larry P.

Hello,  I'm just getting ready to mount the ignition coil onto the shroud of my C160 project, when I noticed that when you shake the ignition coil it sounds like there is liquid inside it.  I know years ago some ignition coils were filled with oil to keep them cool.  Is the K341 ignition coil oil filled or do I need to start looking for a new ignition coil.  Thanks for your help,  Larry

Coils are oil filled to help cool them. Assuming this is an internal resistor coil, you ought to be fine. A coil is a coil!

Larry. I assume you got the flywheel screen ok? If you decide you need a coil Napa # IC64SB is a good replacement

Thanks everyone for your response.  I'll assume the coil is supposed to be oil filled.  My next question is what the heck are these parts???  I have these two parts and I cant figure out what they go to.  I can't find them on any parts list.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
