What model would look similar to a 1056 but have a 8 horse motor? Had my 56 in the back of my truck while i was at true value just now. Gentlemen was outside waiting for me as he had noticed it. He said he has one that looks just like it. But with a smaller motor. All original so obviously not a 56 with a smaller motor. He is looking to sell it and would like to get 3-4 bills for it. It has the original mower deck, a crap ton of spare parts and a set of wheelhorse chains new in the box. My question is, this this a actual model or some home made deal. If it is wheelhorse is that price worth it?
Thanks, Tractorboy

ps haven’t seen it yet or pictures. They will up as soon as i see them.

A 1056 equates to a 10 horse motor with a 4-speed. Year 1966.

So a smaller motor if it was The identical tractor would simply be an 856.

If it runs and drives and is in reasonably decent condition it's worth all of $300 to $400 all day everyday.

Yep, 856 is a real thing :handgestures-thumbupright:

If you’re in the market for it, go for it.  I picked up an 857 by itself at the big show for an even $100, but all the extras have some value too..
