Modified engine to pull start

Any kits out there to make a 11 hp Briggs engine pull start? Would like a back up if battery is dead.

I was thinking 3 stand alone posts mounted near the middle that I could wind a rope around and pull. Maybe a different route?

I've never done one myself.

Could you get a small cylinder of some sort and mount it similar to the way the exposed Rope start is on the following?

I'm  pretty sure a recoil start was provided on some 11 hp Briggs walk behinds and some generators, and snow blowers.

I think it could be done.

So if I pull the blower cover off I can just mount a pull start?

You'd also have to get the matching cup that bolts to the flywheel so the recoil can "catch" and spin your engine over.  But yes, totally possible.

How about a “cup” that bolts to the flywheel like the old rope starters?
