The fenders and tool pan were a $10.95 cent option in 1958.  FA-58 fender assembly weighed 13 lbs according to this August 1, 1958 Original dealer price list I own.

I would think that you could make them work, might need some minor alterations.

Nope it was an option! Mine didnt have it originally i bought a set from a guy in laotto indiana

I ran the 502 Putt Putt for a while without the fenders and toolbox and really didn’t mind it.  For the kids’ sake, I put them back on.
