I was looking around an old repair shop for some parts for the 854 when I spotted these.

Could not find the serial number on the tractor, but the deck model was 5-3322

Also came across this partial frame and engine. Previous owner was using it as a chain drive for pulling chain link fence. I did not hear it but the shop said it ran fine.

Drydock

First ones a 63/4 Lawn Ranger

the 2nd might be the scavenged remains of something mid 60s, with the frame chopped off and flipped over. An H60 Tec. And I want it! There are parts there I need! How much?

Yup I'm saying a 64 ranger, and I too could use at least one part off that tucky, the choke bracket on the head.

The lady did not really give a price. I figured I may try some trading around for the parts. What would be a good starting point to offer them?

Steven,

If you run across any C-160 Wheel Horse treasures give me a yell. Where did ya find these at?

The seat is not the correct one, it should have the square "pan" seat.

And a '63/'64 should have the aluminum 2 piece tank and hoodstand.

It does have the "hubless" rear wheels though.

I thought 64 rangers had the old style fenders and the long hood the only year they did that? or was it 65? I'm pretty sure it was 64.

Oops, I think you are right Kelly.

There's a pic of a '64 in a brochure here: http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=990

about 1/2 way down the page.

Looks like the '63 was the last of the aluminum fuel tanks.

Thanks for the correction! :omg:
