Docwheelhorse 2,740 #1 Posted April 8, 2020 Hello All, Well if I could only have 1 it would be a 1973--1976 C160 with the solid mount engine / big oil pan the gas tank under hood & the "trunk" fender pan setup. Plus I just love the looks.... Had to buy this one when I saw it... yah its a re-paint... needs a belt and fresh gear oil. But runs out great... Hope everyone is safe / healthy and is trying to stay busy. Its easy to get bored. Have a good one! Tony P.S. ebinmaine 73,008 #2 Posted April 8, 2020 Super cool. So that's got a hood ornament which makes it a 1974 or 1975 The roof shingles were a fairly ingenuitive thought on the part of somebody in the past. I wonder how long they lasted...

River19 87 #6 Posted April 9, 2020 Nice rig......I guess I should thank my father for buying the C160 Auto in the mid 80s seems like they are desirable.......he had good foresight Roof shingles.......for once the standard asphalt shingles would be preferred to a full metal job......

River19 87 #9 Posted April 9, 2020 I'm trying to figure out if I like the "bug eye" add-on headlight look........What I do remember was years ago trying to snow blow (we used to have a blower for the C-160) using those stock headlights and I think they may have been 1 candle power......and I'm talking a small votive candle at that. Reminds me of an Austin Healy Bug Eye Sprite from the 50s or 60s...... Has anyone tried to convert to LED?
Rob R 977 #10 Posted April 9, 2020 Beautiful machine, looks like you may need an axle seal on one side..... LOVE it!
Pullstart 67,067 #11 Posted April 9, 2020 @River19 there are quite a few LED conversions on here, from replacing the bulb to full LED headlights replacing the buckets and all
Lee1977 7,225 #12 Posted April 9, 2020 (edited) Well it needs a new seal on the left rear axle probable bad roller bearing also. Might as well do both sides while your at it. Edited April 9, 2020 by Lee1977

I feel like you're excluding materials from my possibilities list.

ohiofarmer 3,379 #18 Posted April 9, 2020 (edited) I just use some black rustoleum paint and sprinkle that with white sand or for rougher grip, you could use black sandblast media.Good use for the old stuff that got a little thick No rust issues with putting on an overlay that catches moisture. If a fella wants that Sunday go to meetin' look, he just masks in a border or stripes or whatnot. Edited April 9, 2020 by ohiofarmer

Well you are from Maine, perhaps cottage style cedar shakes, let them weather to gray, maybe trim them in white to fit in along the New England coast......
