PTO Clutch

Recommended Posts

Did all Wheel Horse's come with a PTO clutch from the factory? Our Bronco 14 does not have one and appears that it never did. It does not have a front implement bracket either. It came with a snow plow, so I am wondering if that is all it was ever used for.

I don't know so had to look. There was an electric pto available back in the day.

There is an attachment list in the files with the red Wheel Horse logo for both years the Bronco 14 was sold.

These 31 results on 2 pages came up on a Bronco 14 search and they are in no particular order so look through them all.

Taking a look at the first couple of pages in this brochure you will see that none of the models had a from or rear attachment bracket and only the Electro and GT-14 had a PTO clutch included.

Enjoyed reading the brochure, they must of used different decals during the year of 1970 as the decals on my electro 12 are different from the ones shown in the brochure. Thanks for sharing some history.

Check page 6 and you'll get a good shot of how the belt was routed to the deck. None of them that year had the front mounted tach-a-matic bracket on the front. That started on a couple models in 72 and all of them from 73 on. The manual pto, again on page 6, had to be installed unless you had the electric clutch. I don't remember if you had to purchase it separately or if it was included with the deck purchase. :)

Yes '69 was very cooo wood grained background and '70 went to a very plane background.          What the heck were they thinking?

What is on mine is ok, but I did like the decals used in the brochure better. If I were to put new decals on I would probably stay with what I have. So based on the pic you sent did the 69 have a longer hood? Also I see it had different muffler, same muffler thats on my commando 800.
