314-8

No,  but you may be able to use the fact to negotiate a better price.    IMO, If the tractor and mower deck operate as they should, it is easily worth the $550.

Looks like a fairly well kept machine except for the seat. Probably worth 10 times what you will get at Home Depot or Lowes for $1200. Buy it no matter the plow. I have a 314-8 and love it. Plenty of power and great on gas.

If that tractor is in good shape with the deck in good working order, the asking price is not bad. I would offer 450, but if it can be put to work with as is, I would not miss out for hundred $ unless you're budget requires it. 418-8 are very good and powerful tractors.

thanks for the help!!! this is a picture of the tractor it has 444 hours and comes with a snow blade but I don't think its a wheel horse blade, he wants $550.00 for it. is this a fair deal?

400 hour 314-8 for $550 ?

i would crawl naked over broken glass to get that tractor for $550

314 (or similar) 8  with a single cylinder Kohler magnum would be one of the best late Wheel Horse tractors available

one of the best Wheel Horse garden tractors produced

durable and reliable as an anvil

I think it looks pretty decent. AG tires on the back already will save you some cash. Bring $500 and go get it IMO. Start at $450 and work some magic. Good luck

no - bring $600 or more in case someone else shows at the same time

true - but maybe not as much as the wounds on my head from my wife beating me if I brought home another Wheel Horse !

It looks like someone welded a piece in before and it rusted through again, but no matter, big thing with these decks is proper storage and maintenance. Wet grass is the main culprit.  Keep them clean underneath, some members here paint, oil, or undercoat the decks every year when they are done with mowing season, whatever your choice of coating the underside, keep that up and all is golden. And it's not just Wheel Horse, all other makes do the same as far as rusting out.

With the attach-a-matic system these horses offer, theres no excuse in any difficulty removing or installing the deck, so stinking easy. I am a mechanic at a local tractor shop. I find myself comparing the different brands to my Wheel Horses. I laugh because of how simple our horses are, then I get mad when I do some repairs or remove/install mower decks on the "others". I guess Wheel Horse spoiled me with what a real machine should be.

I have 312-8 and would not let it go for $500 with deck and plow.  Yours looks great.

apologize - typo error - yes 314-8

I would not sell my 800+ hour 312-8 without attachments for $500

the deck does not look good - especially for low hours - but it's possible the tractor was often used in damp conditions (wet grass) and/or the lawn was treated with fertilizer or other chemicals that can accelerate corrosion

it is possible the hour meter is not correct - but still appears to be well worth the asking price (and probably more)

No not really ,but it's nice to to have the angle from seat option... Like said above though if you want plow a garden you will need the rear clevis hitch , rockshaft and lift cable for the moldboard/single bottom plow and the rear axle bracket for the snow plow to use a tiller.

No problem vendor on here has new version of the rockshaft and clevis hitch... https://www.wheelhorsepartsandmore.com/about-us.html ... Plows discs cultivators ect were normally made by Brinly Agrifab or Ohio Steel for clevis hitches can be had used that were bought for other brand tractors will work just fine with Wheel Horse but the tiller has be for a :wh: TORO... Good luck with you search/purchase.
