Obviously any states close to them as well. Timing varies a little every year. 2026 we got em around May 10th. The spring hatch lasts 2 to 3 weeks so they'll be back to nearly nothing the end of the month.

I spent many nights in the woods with several cans of DEET in my sleeping bag and with a head net over my face. Before leaving the sleeping bag, you had to lay down a cloud of DEET to clear the flys long enough to jump in your cloths. One year we had a new hunter that failed to keep covered and was bitten around his neck so badly he had difficulty breathing. We had to rush him South to the Maniwaki Hospital. The strange thing was, the little Indian school children stood by the road every morning in shorts and T shirts waiting for the school bus. Seemed they were not bothered by the flys???
PeacemakerJack 10,995 #3329 Posted May 22 Although I have pictures of Zach in and on this wagon they are from about 6 years ago and he has no recollection of it. We were doing some massive garage cleaning/organizing tonight and he was super excited about the wagon…so I let him hook up Blackbeard and haul burnables to the fire pit! He was in his element! 4

ineedanother 2,395 #3334 Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM The 312 got a bath today! Interesting story about this tractor is that I never intended to own it but it came non-running in a package deal with a c-165 I was in search of. It eventually got repowered when I swapped one from a 12 Auto. A huge limb fell across its hood so that's been pounded out. No Purple Heart ceremony for that yet but it's got character and surprisingly my "preferred" machine depending on what I'm doing.

My 312 had character like that too but my character builder was rolling down a gravel pit wall. I ended up just swapping the hood after trying to get the dent out. It’s still going years after the incident, much like yours. It is my go to rig as well, primarily being my mowing tractor. Wheel horse built them tough. 1
