whoa

there is a bear roaming our area - but so far have not seen it

but turkey are keeping us amused ... and they will quickly find the areas around the neighbors bird feeders

I put a feeder near one of the occupied boxes and added another box.

No tractor needed to watch the Baltimore Orioles build a nest twenty feet from my deck.  Been amazing to watch them protect the nest.

Lucky you.... my son has been feeding them oranges and grape jelly trying to get them to nest.

Had a pair for almost 2 weeks now.  They come to the window feeder but we are now providing orange slices (very popular) and modified a humming bird feeder as they had been working one of those.  We assume they are nesting somewhere near as they have stayed around. so long.

Yep,  I saw the twigs and was going to say WREN, then I saw Paul's post.      My wrens are just starting to nest.

It is interesting watching the wrens try to get a 4" long twig thru a 1" hole.

We take bets on how long it will take it to figure out they must grab an end instead of the middle.

Either way... there’s a pleasant song in the trees and field.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

The Swallows, I named them ZIG and ZAG, finished building the nest and moved on to the next step.

This pic is XXX rated, so don't scroll  down if you failed Biology.
