854 Blowing snow

Recommended Posts

I know these are a little out of date with spring well on its way. But I thought I would share them anyways. I bought this 854 for $50 from a guy and he said it didn't run anymore. Well 30 mins later with help of my brother and after checking all of the fluids levels it was off to the races. It runs like a champ!! It could use a set of chains and wheel weights but it was still fun to use in the Wisconsin snow. It chewed through the 11+ snow storm that cames through with ease. You can see from the last picture that the old 8hp Kholer has plenty left in her to through snow like that.

Yeah, I felt kind of bad for getting it so cheap after him telling me it didn't run. The problem was all of the fuel lines were jammed full of crud from sitting for 20+ years and the brake band was rusted tight on the brake drum. That is why he thought rear axle was frozen.
