creekside 0 #1 Posted April 29, 2009 Has anybody ever seen decals on an 875 like this. This was my Grandmothers tractor. Her and my grandfather bought it brand new. No one has ever changed the hood or altered the decals. It is an 875 with a serial # of 142729. It this an oddball one? Everytime I see and 875 it doesn't have the wood grain stripe on the hood just the white "ghost" letters at the rear. Any help would be great!
Kelly 1,033 #4 Posted April 29, 2009 At some point the hood or decals had to have been changed, 65 was the first year for the hydro/auto trans and they called it the wheel a matic I think 67 was the first year for the woodgrain decals, the hood is easy to change on these 2 cotter pins and it's off. 1966 was the first year for the woodgrain, my screw up

But if I am not mistaken the 876 and 877 had the number in the woodgrain strip. This wood grain stripe has a blank spot in it.
Kelly 1,033 #6 Posted April 29, 2009 Yes they had the number on the decal, but it was a decal applied on top of the woodgrain, so they could use the same woodgrain decal for all the models, 876, 1076, 877, 1077, 1277, ect......
