The Tuul Crib   7,339 #1 Posted March 13, 2020 Did anyone get to see American pickers on Monday. I record a lot of shows and go back to watch them to skip the commercials. As they are walking thru they show two tractors sitting side-by-side up off the ground one is a green and forgive me for saying John Deere LOL😳 there's also a wheel or sitting right beside it that looks to be possibly an RGA not sure
Darb1964 Â Â 1,120 #2 Posted March 13, 2020 I seen a episode when Frank brought a round hood not sure what model. I think he gave six hundred for it. I think it had a good restore done on it. That was three years or so ago. Don't recall anything green.

But a good show to watch.

peter lena   9,316 #6 Posted March 13, 2020 agree with following comments on " pickers " show , i can only imagine the horses that they see and pass over. that might be a good thing , highlighting a wheel horse , could easily put a spike into any possible buy. hope the horses have to be found and saved , without the added hype , once they are gone , that's it . pete

That episode reran this morning.  He paid $400 for a 633 that supposedly only needed a belt.  Frank thought the belt would be impossible to find.  The guy was asking $600 for it.  You guys up north are spoiled.  Down south that tractor was a good deal.  There just aren’t that many horses down here.  The choices are usually to pay $400 for the tractor or spend two days driving, 4 tanks of gas, and a hotel room to save $100-200 on the tractor.  I’m OK with adventure, but the reality is that it’s generally cheaper to buy something close to home.
