Leaking hydro piston...what am i looking at here?

Recommended Posts

Just noticed a little pool of hydro fluid (looks like clean oil) under where the deck lift piston is on my C175....what do i need to know, i'm pretty new to both WHs and garden tractors in general.  How long can it hold out like that?  Easy to replace as a simple swap out?  Good place for the part?

Thanks much and have a good weekend!

Some are rebuildable, post a photo of yours showing the rod end.  I have kits for late model cylinders with the large snap ring end.

Lowell at Wheel Horse Parts and More rebuilds the welded ones.

Is it the piston seal, or the hose connection ?   Leaking hoses are more common.
