Retired Wrencher 5,792 #1 Posted February 25, 2020 With the warmer weather doing a little cleaning up on city land. My neighbor has a bobcat he did the heavy work and I did the back dragging. Slowly getting rid of these tubular plants they grow 12' high. I hope you enjoy the picks. Also if any one has a 10 cube W/Horse cart for sale with in an hour form me let me know. Thanks. 6 3
Herder 2,355 #2 Posted February 25, 2020 Be careful of where you dispose of those tubular plants (Japanese Knot Weed) Any of the roots you move from area to another will regrow. Imposable to get rid of.

Rfp55 33 #7 Posted February 27, 2020 I pull grape Vines out, put them on the gravel drive for a month. Run over them as much as possible, burn, repeat. Running over the stuff makes you feel better - may not make the other plants leave. If I just leave them on the moist ground I swear they grow again, if they're mowed- each piece takes root and grows hundreds more like rototilling Canadian thistle does. Don't ever put horse manure on your garden. They must live on eating thistles.
Retired Wrencher 5,792 #8 Posted February 28, 2020 Rfp55 Not much I can do. A lot gully wash outs over years of hard rain. And it is City land. I do what we can.

moe1965 766 #10 Posted January 31, 2024 Make sure it's not poison hemlock. Bad bad bad all the way around don't touch with bare hands mostly when growing and absolutely do not burn. Just my 2 cents noxious weeds are taking over

Imposable to get rid of. I HATE that stuff! It took me 10 years to get rid of it beside my frog pond. They say you have to bury sheet metal 3' deep to keep the roots from spreading. My big issue now, is Virginia Creeper vine.
