G-PAs Toy 0 #1 Posted April 27, 2009 Hi guys, great site. I searched what seemed like forever for a Wheelhorse site. My grandpa recently gave me his tractor. It is a Workhorse 700 from the '60's. This tractor has alot of memories and sentimental value to me. I originally was looking for a site so I could get info and products to restore this tractor. I had a blast on this tractor growing up and wanted to restore it for my kids to enjoy. Also wanted to get it restored for grandpa. He now has alzhiemers and asks me every time I see him if I am still working the old tractor a couple dozen times. I tell him yes still runs like it was new. He smiles and laughs and says good. Sorry for rambling but this is important to me. I am thinking of selling his old tractor now. I don't have the room or time or extra money to make and keep this tractor the way I want it. With that said I may want to sell it to someone who will restore it to all her glory and let me see her when she is finished. I do not want to sell it to someone who says they are going to restore it then leaves it sit outside to rust away. Now that I have spilt my guts out it seems even harder to swallow selling the old girl. If anyone is honestly interested let me know. We can talk about it. She is getting a little tempermental in her old age. One day I can go out turn on the gas pull the choke hit the key and go work all day on her. The next time she may not even start. The body is in good shape no rust but will need paint and decals. She has a snow blade with her and besides the round bar that lets you change the position of the blade it also is in great shape. I put some new Carlisle ag tread tires on it a couple years ago. I will try to get some pics posted if I can figure out how. Thanks for reading my rambling.
