What type and color do you guys like to use and where on the machine.  After a thorough degreasing and cleaning this spring my new C175 will be getting some fresh coats.

In case you hadn't gathered from my other posts, Trina does all our painting.

She has a HUGE leaning preference towards Rust-Oleum 2X.

I don't know if there is a red in that brand that comes close to horse.

The off-white we use is Navajo White.

Gloss black is gloss black I guess...

Paint is a touchy subject.  Lots of info in this long thread.

I am not a purist I paint for corrosion control.  That said I stick with  IH Farmall Red (available in several brands) you want semi-gloss black for your black hood.  Wheels I use IH White or Rustoleum Canvas White.

I use and like rustoleum for red

Sunrise Red

Also use their self etching primer, and satin clear enamel for topcoat.

For the 'white'...wheels etc...i like Fleet Farm's brand 'route 66' International Off White', as i do not care for the WHITE whites; its kind of a cream color...but NOT like their Almond (TOO 'yellow', to me)...

I’ve used Rustoleum Regal Red with hardener ont the tractor and Rustoleum appliance epoxy white or biscuit or almond on the wheels. I like the biscuit the best. I also use the appliance epoxy gloss black where needed. On the engine finned area and exhaust I’ve used the VHT high heat red, black, or silver.  It’s your house make it your own

I use Regal Red mainly, but wouldn’t mind venturing over to Sunrise Red either.  It’s a bit brighter than Regal Red.

I used Regal Red when I was still painting.     Now I just rub-em down  with cheap oil.
