Southerncannuck 73 #1 Posted February 4, 2020 I have a C125 tractor that I use as a boat tug. It didn’t have an electrical system when I got it. It was easy to rewire it but I skimped on the regulator. I bought a cheap one from amazon and unsurprisingly it quickly failed. Would someone please recommend a source for a quality regulator. If it is installed with the fins UP rather than down it will not be cooled properly.

I have an Electro 12 and just purchased a Stens 10 amp regulator off Amazon for like 18.00 shipped with tax. Great regulator, great price. The same regulator sells for up to like hundreds of dollars on other websites. Stens 435-057, came in the orginial Stens box. Stens also makes the 15 amp regulator, it costs even less than the 10 amp. Amazon is a facilitator. They do not manufacture regulators. Who’s regulator did you purchase? Send it back under warranty. Here is the link to the Stens 10 amp on eBay. But, your C125 may have came with the 15 amp, our something else. Sounds sorta like you just slapped a regulator on it. Get correct part number and then find correct regulator. https://www.ebay.com/itm/223796033172?ul_ref=https%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F1%2F711-213727-13078-0%2F2%3Fmpre%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fitm%252Flike%252F223796033172%26itemid%3D223796033172%26targetid%3D4580840327039647%26device%3Dt%26adtype%3D%26googleloc%3D%26poi%3D%26campaignid%3D301076556%26adgroupid%3D1235851265215130%26rlsatarget%3Dpla-4580840327039647%26abcId%3D1129776%26merchantid%3D51291%26query%3Dstens%2520435-057%26msclkid%3D5b489cd296d41ac3e758c2eeaaabd381%26srcrot%3D711-213727-13078-0%26rvr_id%3D2288556582096%26rvr_ts%3D1b5420a31700a9cc72e5c6cffffe3420
