Bow_Extreme 574 #1 Posted January 29, 2020 I’m pretty sure this isn’t a Wheel Horse but then again I’ve been surprised before. I’ve never seen anything like it. All info is appreciated.

The Tuul Crib 7,339 #8 Posted January 29, 2020 Kinda looks like maybe a 701?
Sparky-(Admin) 23,295 #9 Posted January 29, 2020 Horizontal hood supports in the second pic remind me of the GT 14 type. Other than that I have no idea. Might just be completely homemade with parts from all the major brands blended together

wallfish 18,244 #11 Posted January 29, 2020 (edited) What's most interesting to me is the embossed letters on the front of the metal hood. That would be very difficult to do by a hobbyist to keep them neat straight and clean. Probably not impossible but take a close look if you go to see it. They appear to be perfect. One complete piece or pieced together from hood parts? Stamping the entire hood piece with the curves isn't done easily either but someone working in the metal stamping field of work could probably pull it off Edited January 29, 2020 by wallfish

Chris G 3,361 #14 Posted January 29, 2020 It looks to me like a 701 that has been heavily modified. The front axle looks like a 701 or 702 front axle with some modified bracing and spindles. Looks like it has a modified Hy 2 hydraulic pump on there. Also looks like a 701 Hood was stretched out on the top and parts were used for the front grill. The steering wheel looks like it's from a 701. The rear fender also looks like it might be a Suburban fender. So on that note Maybe a modified Suburban or 701 . Definitely a different homade machine, but still worth picking up if the price is right for sure

953 nut 60,369 #16 Posted January 29, 2020 Got a few Wheel Horse Parts and pieces here and there. I would love to see the build thread on this one, bet there was a big pile of adult beverahe containers accumulated before it was finished. 8 hours ago, Bow_Extreme said: I’m going to go take a look tomorrow and see what I can do to pick it up. Pullstart 67,068 #17 Posted January 29, 2020 If you pick it up and find it’s too weird, you just go ahead and drop it off at my place... I’ll have a staring contest with it to see if it’ll tell me who dun it and when.
oilwell1415 563 #18 Posted January 29, 2020 I looked for a 701 for a while, so it's about the only model I know anything about. This doesn't look like a 701 to me other than the hood decal. The proportions are all wrong and judging by the person standing next to it it's quite a bit larger than a 701. The fuel tank is the wrong style and in the wrong location. The hood isn't the right design. It might be a 701 nose with about 4" and louvers added in the middle and all of the body lines removed above and below the letters. If that tractor isn't factory, it has some very high level fabrication done on it. On one hand I think it would be a steal at $400 just because of the unknown. On the other hand, if it's an orphan it could be a $400 paper weight.
Herder 2,355 #19 Posted January 29, 2020 (edited) An interesting mess for sure. It may be one of those things you buy just so you can say you own it. What you would do with it is the question. (?) Yard Art! Edited January 31, 2020 by Herder 1
