grinchsr 647 #1 Posted January 28, 2020 How do I change the fuel pump pulse hose on a P218 and what type and size hose is it? The side cover it is mounted on does not give enough clearance to get the clamps off. The shop manual does not talk about the hose much.
lynnmor 7,825 #2 Posted January 28, 2020 (edited) Use 1/4” reinforced rubber fuel line. You might be able to replace the hose thru the oil filter opening with the filter removed. Edited January 28, 2020 by lynnmor
Bill D 2,256 #3 Posted January 28, 2020 Pull the coil out. You should be able to see where the hose attaches to the block. You are going to have to remove the air cleaner housing to get the coil out. When you put it back together remember that the condenser goes to the positive terminal. Good luck. Onans can be a pain to work on. What model tractor are you working on? grinchsr 647 #4 Posted January 28, 2020 Thanks for the replies. The tractor is a 1988 518H (non running ) I bought for the power bagger and deck that came with it. I knew it did not run when I went to get it but now I am determined to get it running. It has some electrical issues but Achto has been kind enough to help me out with that.
