Brian1045 28 #1 Posted April 26, 2009 I was getting some spindle slop on my 875 so I swapped out the entire front end axle/spindles and all from another parts 875 I had. I also had some bad tie rods. Long story short, After I got everything back together I have 1 wheel that is toed to far in. The tie rods are 8 5/8" from end to end. Does anyone know what the correct length for the tie rods are for this tractor? It's alsmost like I need 2 tie rods that measure 8 3/8" or so.
Kelly 1,033 #2 Posted April 26, 2009 I've ran into that problem, double check the spindle to see if it's bent, hard to decribe but the tab that the tierod hooks to will get bent closer to the wheel, people hit things with the front tires and it bends that flat arm, or I've seen the welds start to break, and let the arm move. Kelly 1,033 #3 Posted April 26, 2009 Sorry I reread your post I was thinking toed out, not in, but you could still check to see if the spindle is bent.
Brian1045 28 #4 Posted April 26, 2009 Thanks Kelly! I swapped out one of the spindles with an extra one I had, luckily I picked the right side the first time. She's all squared away again. The spindle I took off must have been slightly bent. I didn't see anything bent when I compared it to the one I put on, but it doesn't take much when it comes to steering alignment to get outta whack. Thanks again for the suggestion.
