KohlerJohn 2 #1 Posted January 10, 2020 I do not know if this is electrical or not so here goes. I have to replace the starter/solenoid combo on a 520H so what do I have to do? I have searched the forums and haven't found a "How To" write-up. If you have done this, give me a helping with the project by outlining the steps. KohlerJohn 2 #3 Posted January 10, 2020 Thanks for the reply. I did look at the Onan manual I had first but the information was a bit sketchy. Here is what it said: Remove engine. Disconnect spark plug wire. Remove cap screw to remove lift bracket and manifold cover. Remove cap screws to remove side shroud. Remove cap screws from flywheel shroud. Move flywheel shroud just far enough to remove starter. Remove two cap screws to remove starter. I was hoping that some on the board could offer a bit of advice on the procedure. lynnmor 6,762 #4 Posted January 10, 2020 Remove the sensor on the right side of the head. Remove the blower housing bolt at the top next to the governor, the two up from the bottom and those forward from there. Now remove a battery cable and the starter wires. Remove the two starter bolts from the right side. Flex the blower housing and remove the starter. Save these instructions if you are installing a cheap Chinese starter.
