Carburetor to govenor spring

Recommended Posts

Can't seem to locate Kohler's part number for the spring that attaches the governor arm to the throttle arm on top of the carb.  Mine flew off when i was putting a new carb on the engine and can't find it in the garage.

M10 spec number 461521.

Can anyone help?

There is no s[ring between the governor arm and Carb throttle plate....  are you thinking of the solid rod  #6 or the governor spring  #27

Here is a pic of set up before i lost the spring.   What about #35?  What is that spring for?

Always had a spring since i got the 310.  Maybe the previous owner modified from the solid rod (#6)?

Only item numbers with boxes around them are used on you r Spec # engine.  Your carb is not original.  it is set up for a two piece rod like in this picture uses the ball socket.  seeing the hole the spring was in  would think you could use a solid rod ...much cheaper.

The carb in my 1st pic is new repacement from isavetractors.  The original tractor carb is in this pic.  I will take a closer look when i get home.

Well took a look when i got home.  The aftermarket carb kit had a rod as pfrederi described.   Got it hooked up.  Seems to run fine😀.

Thanks pfrederi for your guidance.  I will note those part numbers just in case
