Kohler K532 Stator Question

Does anyone know if a new stator listed for a Kohler K532 engine would work in a 1974 K532 in a D200?

I used one of those in a KT17 series 2 engine from a 417a and it worked perfectly.

 

Is your old stator 18 magnets?

Not sure I haven't pulled it.  I just keep the battery on trickle charge for the time being.  I will be testing it this weekend. 

 

But noticed something I feared may be impossible to get may be possible.
