ebinmaine 72,566 #26 Posted December 22, 2019 I've seen stops like that too but I can't recall on what vintage of machine. I'm kind of leaning towards them being on a 1967 model year but I'm not positive.

There was a couple on this site I was messing with. I tried a green scotch brite first with WD40. Didn’t care for the scotch brite and tried 1000grit sand paper. I like the sand paper better. Also when I work on it again I’m going to try water in stead
Dirtpoor 131 #28 Posted December 23, 2019 It was nice out today so I pressure washed the Raider. Need to scrape of the grease and oil. It dried up and hard.
Dirtpoor 131 #29 Posted December 23, 2019 I’m working on 2 tractors at the same time (B80 Raider 10). Should I start a different thread for the second one
Stormin 9,984 #30 Posted December 23, 2019 Could save some confusion. Some of us are knocking on a bit and get confused easily. Just make sure you get the right photo's in the right thread. 1 1
Dirtpoor 131 #31 Posted December 28, 2019 (edited) Ok I have no updates on this tractor. I have been working on the raider getting it going in case it snows. There is no snow in the forecast lol. If anyone was following this just to let them know I have not quit on it yet. Edited December 28, 2019 by Dirtpoor 1
Dirtpoor 131 #32 Posted December 29, 2019 Here’s a picture of my mower deck that came with the B80. It’s a rear discharge that looks like someone modified should I fix it or leave it with the side discharge?

Im guess if you prefer a rear discharge bring it back to origonal or if you like the side discharge try to copy from picks in here so that the airflow directs it to the side. Personally id do the rear discharge.....that way youd be able to trim edges with both sides...I have a right hand discharge and can only trim with the left.

Hey I found this one on eBay looks like mine and the coweling is in the back. Not the front like I would have thought. It all new to me.

Yeah I’m thinking mine is a side discharge with the coweling at the bottom is just gone on mine. I was thinking someone put the side on. But now I think its factory. I know the shrowding underneath really makes a difference in the eficiency of the grass cut......I had to fabricate a set up on an old sears Tractor years ago and it literally pulls the grass straight up while passing over which makes the cut so much neater too. Id still like to find out about rear discharge though, cuz it sure would be nice to have tight close edging cuts not just on the left but both sides as the case I think would be with a rear discharge.....This coming summer I know my deck is going to need attention badly so Ill prob probe the group then! Dirtpoor 131 #38 Posted May 21, 2020 Ok its been forever sense I’ve posted anything. I’m going to junk the deck. I found one in just a little better shape. And I just picked up these rims from Denny. What a guy. 2 1
