What loud bang it was!!

The Tuul Crib

So I'm out pushing dirt with my 414-8

on my  hillside and I'm givin er all she's

got! When all of a sudden. BANG!!

Wow what a noise that was.

The belt wrapped around the PTO and it was slapping as it was spinning making a God awful clatter.  Luckily for me I have a extra belt just a matter of a little downtime !

Well it wasn't too bad after all I just now finished up on putting the belt on. And still have a little daylight left. Now I have a little jerking motion when I let out the clutch I hope the belt stretches a little to fix this!

It gave its best. I am going to replace mine in the spring as it is 33 years old. I cant have a breakdown when taking it to the Mtns. to do camp. Just to far away and no place to buy one handy up there.

Allway‘s a good decision, to have a belt in spare.

never had a belt fail like that , i regularly look over my belts for any signs of problems, then again ,as said 33 years out of a belt is well beyond its life. interesting that my original headlights lasted more than 30 years , that used to be an american standard , pete
