seven 202 #1 Posted December 12, 2019 I have a buddy that has a 877 wheel horse and I did some work on it last summer I put a new head gasket in a new carburetor on it. And it ran fine during the warmer weather but he says it it kills on him when he's plowing snow but then it will start right back up again and run fine? This is happened to three times? Any suggestions

If the points are getting wet maybe it's shorting the ignition out. Just a thought!

Especially it's a little gasket is worn out or gone on the points cover
peter lena 9,279 #6 Posted December 12, 2019 makes me think its a wire chafe due to a frame flex electrical short , being an older and simpler unit , the wire issue is much easier than newer models. i would go over every connection , verify no corrosion and full wire to contact point. the snow plowing is your lead in to the problem, pete
