Slampig 5 #1 Posted December 8, 2019 I picked this up for my son a couple weeks ago. The guy I got it from said he got it at an auction and it sat in his barn untouched for the past 25 years. Came with a mower deck, but I took it off. Looks to be in pretty good shape, the transaxle was stuck, flushed it and now it’s free. It has a Lauson, appears to be missing the air filter, electric starter, recoil starter, throttle lever & plate. I’m thinking it’s a 551 although I don’t see where the battery would go in front of the motor and the controls have me a little confused. It has the factory square cut out where I thought the throttle & choke would go, but it also has a push/pull choke knob. Does anyone know if this was the factory set up or was it added later? 1
