chip61 666 #1 Posted December 3, 2019 Is it just me, or is the seat from the C series with the adjustable back uncomfortable?? I feel like I am almost leaning forward, I'm wondering if someone pushed the tractor using the seat back and maybe bent it more upright than it should be. I really like the looks of the seat and mine is actually in pretty good condition but I would never keep it on a tractor I use all the time because it makes me feel like I'm leaning forward (probably okay for a short person). I have the seat mounted as far back as it will go, and other seats in that position are comfortable

Stepney 2,354 #3 Posted December 3, 2019 I somehow have several of those seats despite all my machines are older. I agree they look cool, but I really find them uncomfortable. I'd gladly swap one off for the older style black/white low back metal seat from the 60's. All my workers get high backs or better yet .. boat seats

ZXT 2,401 #6 Posted December 4, 2019 Anyone have a picture of this adjustable seat? I believe my C-160 had its original seat on it when I bought it but it isn't adjustable.

wallfish 18,244 #8 Posted December 4, 2019 Are you guys talking about this style seat? If you don't like them and plan to change them out, please contact me and I'll gladly buy you a new seat. These are my favorite seat and yes, I'm short at only 5' 7". I would change every one of mine to these. 1
chip61 666 #9 Posted December 4, 2019 That's the seat! It looks really nice, but it makes me sit too upright, and I'm wondering if someone pushed the tractor using the seat back and bent it more forward than it should be. I don't have it on one of my workers (all of them have high-back seats), but I do use this tractor occasionally to pull a cart and it would be nice not to feel so cramped. The back cushion can be adjusted up or down, but I don't think that would make much difference. As far as adjustment back to front, you only have the different holes in the seat pan.

I have that seat on my C-160 but it came off of my GT-14. I also agree that it sits a bit too upright, and it also doesn't adjust far enough back. I love the way it looks though. Mine works just fine. Maybe yours is bent.
